A Welcoming Congregation

Unitarian Universalist Association has recently designated the U.U. Society of Bangor A WELCOMING CONGREGATION, as a result of this congregation having taken part in the UUA Welcoming Congregation Program to become more inclusive towards bisexual, gay, lesbian, and/or transgender people. The Welcoming Congregation Committee is carrying out the Welcoming Congregation Program of the UUA. The committee has been presenting a series of workshops to increase knowledge and appreciation of GLBT.
